How to play

Everyone starts with five dice. Each round, everyone rolls in secret: you see only your own dice, but how many dice each player has is public. Ones are wild: they count toward any other face.

The starter opens with a bid like four 3s: at least four dice on the whole table show 3 (ones included). The opening bid can't be on ones. Then, in turn, each player must raise, call Dudo, or call Calza. A raise is more dice of any face, or the same number of a higher face. To switch to ones, bid at least half the quantity, rounded up (five 4s → three 1s); to switch back, bid more than double (three 1s → seven of any face). Bids on ones are raised with more ones.

Dudo: the bid is too high. All dice are revealed. If the bid falls short, the bidder loses a die; otherwise you do.

Calza: the bid is exactly right. If so, you regain a die (never above five); if not, you lose one.

Whoever lost a die, or called Calza, starts the next round (if they are out, the next player does).

Palifico: when a player first drops to one die, the next round is special. Ones are not wild, the opening bid may be any face including ones, and the face can't change: raises only add dice. Each player gets one Palifico round.

At zero dice you are out. The last player with dice wins.
